A long long time ago, I took a photography class in high school and knew right away that photography was  something that I would enjoy doing on some level for the rest of my life. Fast forward roughly 15 years, numerous cameras, and countless of hours of training,  I started shooting professionally in 2010 on the weekends. A short time later I left my full time job to pursue photography full time and to build my own business.

In July of 2010, I married my best friend ,Laura. She is also a pretty amazing newborn assistant, and some kind of baby whisper. Shortly after that we moved to Lake Zurich and we have since had 2 beautiful boys with a little girl on the way this upcoming spring of '17. My wife and I talk all the time about how we can't imagine what life was like before these little humans entered our world.

I absolutely love to travel, explore new places, experience new cultures, and most importantly try new food. With our growing family we find ourselves taking more road trips in the car and less plane flights to exotic destinations. I am the guy that is constantly stopping the car to take pictures,  go on walks, explore new areas (camera in hand of course), and can easily stretch what would be a 3 hour road trip in to a full day's adventure.

I love having the ability to capture a moment in time that will be looked back upon and remembered years from now. This is photography at its most basic level. As cliche as it sounds, I am truly blessed to wake up every day and do what I love.

As someone who photographs people and events, there is so much more to what I do than just taking pictures. My goal is to evoke emotion in the people that view my work. This starts with making the people on the other side of the lens feel comfortable in their surroundings and confident that what is being captured is something that they will cherish for years to come.  It may be soothing a newborn baby, joking around with your 3-year-old during a family session in a forest preserve or having a pre-wedding meeting with a couple a week before their wedding day. Paying attention to the details prior to pressing the shutter button plays a vital part in creating work that will stand the test of time.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions about my photography or anything that goes in to any of my sessions. While I am located in Lake Zurich I service all of the chicago-land area with no travel charge unless previously discussed.

I look forward to meeting and working with you!
